A fight at a house party spilled into the street and ended with one man going to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Officers were called to a shooting near North 107th Street and Whitman Ave North around 1:30 AM this morning. Medics took the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police that fights had broken out at a birthday party nearby. The host kicked the feuding guests out of his apartment. As the troublemaking continued in the street, the victim was shot in the leg. According to witnesses the victim was trying to break up a fight at the time.
Detectives interviewed numerous partygoers and are still seeking the suspect.
