A shooting near 3rd Ave and Bell Street damaged several businesses early Sunday morning.
Officers were on patrol in the area when they heard numerous shots fired in the 2200 block of 3rd Ave around 2:30 AM. Upon arrival, officers located ten shell casings from a handgun.
According to witnesses, an argument between the shooter and a passing vehicle escalated to the point where the car drove onto the sidewalk towards the shooter. The shooter jumped clear of the car and opened fire at the fleeing vehicle.
The shooter and vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
