Man Dies After Shootout in Denny Triangle

An early morning gunfight in Seattle killed one of the two involved gunmen with the second suspect still at large.

Officers nearby heard numerous gunshots being fired in the 1900 block of Minor Ave just after 3:30 AM. Police rushed to the scene and located an armed man who had been shot multiple times. Medics also responded, but the 24-year-old man was mortally wounded.

Other officers saw a vehicle fleeing the scene of the shooting. Initially believed to be involved, the vehicle was stopped after a short pursuit and officers are questioning the occupant as a possible witness.

A second victim was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries when he was attacked by a group of individuals in an adjacent parking lot. Investigators are still working to understand if the two incidents are related.
