Officers arrested a man after he pulled a knife on a woman Wednesday afternoon and tried to steal her car in SoDo.
Police received several 911 reports around 2:50 p.m. of a man dragging a woman out of a car near 7 Pl. S. and S. Forest St. Witnesses said the 30-year-old man pulled a box cutter on the woman before running away.
Witnesses followed the suspect and were able to catch up to him and hold him until police arrived. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident. Seattle Fire Department medics evaluated the victim, who was not injured in the incident.
Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
Police initially received reports the suspect had also pulled a knife on a bus driver, but it appears those reports were unfounded.
