Police K9 Tracks Down Robber in Delridge Neighborhood

A K9 unit tracked down and arrested a 25-year-old armed robber who broke into a car in the Delridge neighborhood on Sunday, and then threatened a mother and daughter returning to their vehicle.

The victims told officers they returned to their car, parked in the 8100 block of 20th Avenue Southwest, about 6 PM Sunday to find a man inside. He got out of the car with stolen goods when they arrived, showed the victims what they believed to be a holstered gun and said “I’ll shoot you if you follow me.”

After he fled, the daughter called 911. A K9 officer quickly arrived and was able to track down the robber, who was hiding behind a bush a few houses away. He still had the victims’ stolen goods, as well as property from another car prowl. The suspect also had an outstanding felony warrant. He was booked into King County Jail on robbery charges, as well as a warrant.
