Police are searching for the shooter after a man was struck in the leg by gunfire Thursday evening.
Shortly after 6 P.M. several calls came into 911 reporting gunshots in the 800 block of 24 Ave South. Officers arrived and located a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers are collecting evidence at the scene and are also interviewing potential witnesses. Detectives from the Gang Unit are leading the investigation going forward.
