Bitter Lake Home Invasion Victim Tells Police He Tried to Buy Car From Suspect

A Bitter Lake man told police he recognized one of the two men who burst into his apartment early Monday and robbed him at gunpoint.

The victim called police at about 2:45 AM after the two suspects burst into his apartment in the 14300 block of Linden Ave North. When one of the suspects pulled a gun, the victim grabbed for the weapon and a struggle for the gun ensued. One suspect then pistol-whipped the male victim twice, gashing his face.

The suspects then spent 15 minutes loading up a bag with jewelry and cellphones from the victim’s home. The victim’s girlfriend reportedly chased the suspects out of the house before they fled in the victim’s 2000 white Mercedes 400 SUV.

The victim told police he may previously met one of the suspects at a North Seattle store, and had discussed buying a used Honda from the man.

Robbery detectives are now investigating. If you have any information about this incident please call (206) 684-5535.
