Officers Chase Warrant Suspect, Crack Big Drug Case

A wanted felon tried to ditch a CD binder as he fled from police in Yesler Terrace early this morning. When officers finally caught up to the man and recovered the case, they discovered it contained something far more sinister than than John Tesh or Nickelback albums.

Officers Harold Dentinger and Amanda Hirata were searching Yesler Terrace around 6:30 AM for a 46-year-old felony warrant suspect, and spotted him near 8th Ave. and Yesler Way. The man ran from officers and ducked into a hilly greenbelt. As police chased after the suspect, they saw him toss a black CD case onto the hillside.

Officers caught up to the man, took him into custody, and picked up the CD case. Inside, they found 42 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of heroin, and 6 grams of meth, along with $898 in cash.

Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for a felony warrant as well as drug charges.
