A man in his 30’s was found with a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon in the Brighton neighborhood, which police now believe is the result of a self-inflicted shooting.
Officers received a report of shooting Wednesday at Rainier Ave. S. and S. Garden St. just after 4 PM, and found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg sitting on the ground at the scene.
Witnesses told offices the suspect handed the gun off to someone else, who fled the scene.
Seattle Fire Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Gang Unit detectives are leading the investigation.
