Officers Searching For Suspect in Beacon Hill Stabbing

Update:

Officers made an arrest around 8:15 PM following this evenings stabbing on Beacon Hill.

While investigating the earlier assault, police developed a prime suspect in the stabbing. Officers found the 42-year-old suspect at his home on North Beacon Hill. The suspect has been taken into custody and the knife used in the attack has been recovered.

Officers will book the man into King County Jail on investigation of assault.

Police are investigating after a gas station argument escalated into a stabbing Tuesday evening.

Onlookers called 911 when they witnessed one man stab another in the 2400 block of Beacon Ave South just before 6 PM. Officers have been told that an argument between two men at a gas pump devolved into to fight that lead to one man pulling out a box cutter and assailing the victim.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries during the assault. Medics have transported the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Witnesses have described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 40’s, shorter in height, wearing blue jean, a black shirt and a yellow hat. Officers located and have impounded the suspect’s vehicle from 13 Ave S and S Massachusetts St.

Police are interviewing witnesses now and collecting evidence from the scene of the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be posted here.
