Police arrested a trio of robbers after they attacked a man early this morning and stole his cell phone as he stepped off a bus in the Dunlap neighborhood.

The three suspects—two men, both 23, and a 16-year-old girl—approached the victim as he exited a bus near Rainier Ave. S. and S. Henderson St. They began hitting him, demanded his cell phone, and then fled with the phone.

Witnesses called 911, and an SPD K9 team—Officer Corey Fleming and his partner, Buddy—were able to track the three suspects to the 4500 block of S Henderson St. Police arrested the group of robbers and returned the cell phone to the victim. The whole incident, from robbery to recovery of the phone, took place over about 30 minutes.

Officers booked the two men and the teen for investigation of robbery.
