Motorcyclist Killed In Early Morning Crash

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle collision in the South Lake Union neighborhood.

The 34-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling northbound in the 2000 block of Westlake Avenue just after 2:45 AM when he left the roadway and struck a parked van.

Seattle Fire Department medics and police responded to the scene, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

SPD traffic collision detectives are investigating the incident.
