UPDATE: Detectives Arrest Suspects In Three Separate Homicide Cases

SPD detectives made a string of arrests in homicide investigations Wednesday, taking suspects into custody for three separate murders in the International District, New Holly and Greenwood neighborhoods.

Police first arrested a 48-year-old man Wednesday for a fatal stabbing on January 10th at the Jackson Market in the 500 block of South Jackson Street.

Detectives later arrested a juvenile female for the fatal shooting of a man at 33rd Ave S. & S. Holly St on February 24th, as well as a 33-year-old man for a fatal assault at a grocery store in the 9900 block of Holman Road NW on February 29th.

Update: Sound Transit fare enforcement officers were the first to locate the 33-year-old suspect Wednesday in the Seattle area. They contacted Seattle police, who took the man into custody.

In that case, the suspect assaulted an 87-year-old man while he was shopping at a QFC grocery store. The victim sustained significant injuries in the attack and was hospitalized, and later died from his injuries on April 8th. Detectives quickly identified a suspect and arrested him Wednesday.

All three suspects were booked—the two men into the King County Jail, the juvenile into the Youth Service Center—for investigation of homicide.
