Detectives Recover Bikes, Cars and Motorcycle After Investigation at Wedgwood Home

Major Crimes Taskforce detectives, SWAT and patrol officers arrested four people and recovered stolen bikes, cars and a motorcycle last night after serving a warrant at a Wedgwood home.

On Monday, detectives learned the home belonged to a suspected prolific auto thief and burglar, and that dozens of stolen items and bicycles were being kept in the house.

Police served a warrant just before midnight Monday at the home in the 8200 block of 38th Avenue Northeast and recovered 16 suspected stolen bicycles, computers, power tools, mail, credit cards, gift cards and shaved keys, similar to ones frequently used by car thieves.

As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested four people—including one man with a warrant for burglary and another for stalking—and recovered two stolen cars and a motorcycle, found in a bank parking lot near the home.

MCTF is still investigating the case and the residents of the home and are working to return the stolen items to their rightful owners.
