Felon Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Woman, School

South Precinct Officers arrested a convicted felon today after he threatened to shoot a woman and the school where she works.

A woman called 911 at 7:30 AM Friday to report her ex-boyfriend threatened to shoot her, her family and the local high school where she is employed.

Officers checked the suspect’s home but were unable to find him.

A student at the high school flagged down an officer who was in the area to let the officer know they had just seen something suspicious.  The student told the officer a man had approached them and asked if the school had metal detectors. The student’s description matched the description of the suspect from the earlier threats call.

Officers quickly located the suspect at a nearby community center and took him into custody.  The suspect, a convicted felon, was wearing black latex gloves and carrying a 9mm pistol.

Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of harassment, assault, and firearms charges.
