Sleeveless Man Arrested For Brass Knuckles Attack at Hot Dog Stand After Being Ejected From Strip Club

A 39-year-old man was arrested early Saturday after he shouted racial slurs and attacked two men at a SODO hot dog stand shortly after he was ejected from a strip club.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Occidental Avenue around 1:30 AM after receiving a report of a fight. At the scene, witnesses pointed out the suspect down the street–“the guy in the shirt with no sleeves”–and police quickly took the man into custody.

Two victims told officers the suspect had approached them at a hot dog cart near the club, shouted racial slurs, and attacked them while wearing brass knuckles.

Officers recovered the suspect’s brass knuckles from the street near a so-called “party bus,” which may have transported the suspect to the club. Club staff told officers they had kicked the suspect out just before the attack due to his elevated level of intoxication.

Police booked the 39-year-old man into the King County Jail for assault and a violation of his Department of Corrections community release.
