Felon Arrested for Saturday Afternoon Beacon Hill Drive-By Shooting

Officers arrested a convicted felon Saturday afternoon after he fired a gun at a Beacon Hill home and drove away.

A witness called 911 just before 3 pm saying that she heard gunshots outside of her home in the 9000 block of 38 Ave S.  The witness went to the front door to investigate and saw a man holding a gun out a car window. The suspect then rolled up the window and drove away. The witness provided information about the man with the gun and officers were able to identify a possible suspect.

At the scene, officers found a car parked in the driveway and the witness’s home had been struck by gunfire. Additional officers checked the home of the possible suspect and found that he matched the witness description exactly. Officers arrested the suspect, who is a convicted felon and legally prohibited from possessing a gun, and booked him into King County Jail for drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm.
