Man Wounded In Shooting Near Seattle/Tukwila Border

One man was wounded Monday in a drive-by shooting near the Seattle/Tukwila border.

Around 1:45 PM, Seattle police received multiple reports of a shooting near in the 10300 block of 51st Avenue South.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a wounded man in his 30s inside a vehicle.

Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening head injuries.

Patrol and SWAT officers, aided by the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter, began searching the neighborhood for the suspect, including a nearby home where a witness had last seen the suspect.

After a great deal of investigation at the scene, officers determined suspects in two vehicles had exchanged gunfire in front of a business in the area before fleeing.

At this time, police do not believe the man injured in the shooting was involved in the incident.
