Witnesses called 911 just after 2:30 Tuesday morning to report the sound of shots fired in the 2500 block of Rainier Ave S. As officers were arriving they received an update that two men with gunshot wounds had been dropped off at Harborview Medical Center.
Officers went to the hospital and interviewed both men, one 25-years-old the other 23-years-old, who said they were riding in a car in the 2300 block of Rainier Ave S when an occupant of a passing vehicle opened fire striking both of them. Both victims were unable to describe the shooter. Medical staff listed the victims in “stable” condition, one with a gunshot wound to the arm the other was shot several times in the back.
