Coffee with a Cop Takes First Sips on Capitol Hill

Today the Seattle Police Department along with Starbucks launched the first of a series of Coffee with a Cop events that will take place throughout the city. The first event kicked off on Capitol Hill in the East Precinct at the Starbucks location on Olive Way.

“We welcome any opportunity to have a conversation with the communities we serve. The conversation can’t stop after the last cup of coffee, we must continue to have ongoing dialogue to foster safe and healthy communities,” said Captain Paul McDonagh, East Precinct Commander.

The Seattle Police Department in partnership with Starbucks, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) to kick off the first of these events in five cities – Dallas, Indianapolis, New York, Norfolk, VA and here in Seattle.
