Police, Yogurt Makers Team Up For Justice

Some tenacious sleuthing employees at a yogurt factory teamed up with police to dispense some handcrafted, family-recipe justice after a 31-year-old man broke into their Georgetown offices and stole two laptops and a cellphone early this morning.

Just after midnight, employees at a yogurt company in the 5700 block of Airport Way South called police after they discovered someone had thrown a piece of concrete through their office window, climbed through, and made off with the laptops and phone.

An employee made several attempts to track the, but police weren’t able to locate a suspect.

Hours later, around 8 AM, the employee checked the phone again and found it was tracking to 144th Street and Tukwila International Boulevard. The employee called a second staff member, who was out making yogurt deliveries, and asked him to check the location. When he arrived, he saw the burglar–who’d been captured on surveillance cameras during the break-in. The employees called Seattle police, who in turn contacted Tukwila PD, who arrested the 31-year-old suspect.

SPD detectives questioned the man about the break-in before booking him into the King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
