A 40-year-old man was shot in the stomach in Belltown early Monday morning. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Shortly after 3:00 am on Monday, April 3rd, West Precinct officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 2400 block of 1st Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot in the area of 1st Avenue and Battery Street, and then seeing a man run northbound stating he had been shot. Two other men were seen running from the scene. Officers located the victim and began performing first aid on the man as Seattle Fire responded. Medics transported the man to the hospital for treatment. Officers conducted an extensive search but did not locate the suspects.
Detectives will handle the follow up investigation.
