3,000 Pot Plants Seized From 14 Homes In Illegal Marijuana Grow Investigation

Seattle police seized more than 3,000 marijuana plants, 60 pounds of processed pot, firearms and vehicles after serving warrants at 14 illegal grow houses in Renton, Seattle and Federal Way this morning.

SPD Narcotics detectives arrested 15 people in connection with the grow operations, which are believed to be linked. Detectives do not currently believe any of the houses are tied to Washington’s legal marijuana growing industry.

Because of the sheer size of the grow operation, Seattle police were assisted by the FBI, DEA, HSI, and King County Sheriff’s Office in serving the warrants.

Detectives continue to process evidence related to the case and will book the 15 suspects into the King County Jail for charges related to drug manufacturing.
