Officers Arrest Man Following Attempted Burglary of Madison Park Home

A woman called 911 Sunday morning to report a man trying to break in to her Madison Park home.

The 40-year-old woman was awoken at 2 a.m. Sunday to the sound of pounding on the front door of her home in the 2000 block of 42 Avenue East.  The woman called 911 as the unknown person attempted to open the door. The woman told the dispatchers the suspect walked around the back of the house where he began pounding on windows and demanding to be let inside.

Officers arrived and found the 30-year-old man still in the backyard and arrested him.  Officers booked the man into King County Jail for investigation of burglary, property destruction, and trespassing.
