Officers Seize Over 200 Grams of Heroin In Downtown Drug Arrest

Officers working along 3rd Avenue in Downtown Tuesday night arrested a man and recovered a large amount of heroin.

Bike officers working near 3rd Avenue and Pike Street witnessed a man possibly selling narcotics just after 10 p.m. The officers went to arrest the 47-year-old man who briefly struggled with officers before they were able to take him into custody.  Officers searched the man’s bag and found baggies of methamphetamine, MDMA, cocaine, prescription narcotics, and more than 200 grams of heroin, as well as over $1000 in cash.  The officers conducted a check of the man’s name and found that he also had an unrelated Department of Corrections warrant for his arrest.

Officers booked the man into King County Jail for Narcotics charges, assault, and the warrant.
