A 54-year-old woman was taking the recycling out at her home in the 5500 block of South Budd Court Thursday at 4:30 p.m. when she saw a 33-year-old man in her car.  She confronted him and he left the area. The woman was speaking with a neighbor about the incident when they saw the suspect return.  The suspect pointed a black handgun at the the woman and her neighbor, racked the slide, and picked up his backpack that he had left behind. The suspect then again walked away from the home towards a nearby park.

The male neighbor walked in the direction of the park and spotted the suspect and a 24-year-old woman sitting in the grass of Pritchard Island Beach Park. The man attempted to get closer to the two when the female pulled a gun from a backpack and pointed it at the man. The neighbor fled the park and called 911.

Officers responded to the area and found the suspects still in the park. Police recovered a gun from where the pair, as well as a car that had been reported stolen in Auburn. Officers arrested the suspects for possession of a stolen gun, possession of a stolen vehicle, drug charges, and harassment.
