Officers Arrest Two Teens for Beacon Hill Burglary

Officers arrested two teens Thursday afternoon after they admitted to burglarizing a home on Beacon Hill.

Police responded to the 3000 block of South Dawson Street Thursday just before 2:30 p.m. after a witness saw two teenagers looking into the windows of homes in the area. Officers arrived and found a 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female matching the descriptions given by the witness. Officers stopped the two teens who admitted they had burglarized a home in the area.  The teens handed over jewelry they claimed to have taken from the unlocked home.  Officers checked out the house and discovered the front door of the home was unlocked and multiple rooms had been ransacked.

The owner of the home responded to the South Precinct where officers were able to return all of their stolen property.

Officers booked the two into King County Youth Services Center for investigation of burglary.
