Suspect Arrested In Wallingford Homicide

UPDATE – April 26, 2018:

SPD Homicide Detectives have arrested a 25-year-old man for the murder of his roommate, a 38-year-old woman, in Wallingford last month.

The arrest in this complex case came after an extensive investigation, working in conjunction with the Washington State Crime Lab and the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The suspect was arrested early Thursday morning in Seattle and was booked into jail for Investigation of Murder.

UPDATE – March 16, 2018 5:20 p.m.

Seattle Police Homicide and CSI detectives continue to investigate the March 12th death of a 38 year old Wallingford resident. At this point in the investigation, it does not appear to be a random act.

Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found inside her Wallingford residence Monday morning.

At approximately 9:20 am, North Precinct patrol officers were summoned to a residence in the 1300 block of North 43rd Street.  A friend of the 38-year-old victim came to the residence and discovered the victim inside, apparently deceased.  Police and Seattle Fire were called to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.

Detectives were called out to the location to begin their investigation and CSI processed the scene.

This remains an active and on-going homicide investigation working in conjunction with the King County Prosecutor’s Office and the King County Medical Examiner.  Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the Seattle Police Homicide Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
