Suspect Arrested After Burglarizing Rainier Valley Business

At approximately 1:30 am Tuesday South Precinct officers responded to a store in the 4400 block of Rainier Avenue South for a report of a broken window.  Officers arrived and saw that an upper window had been broken, but it was unclear if entry into the business had been made.  An employee arrived and showed store surveillance video to the officers, showing that a suspect had indeed entered the business and stolen some alcohol.

Officers began searching the area when they came across two suspects attempting to hide.  The suspects ran when they saw the officers, but one man was located attempting to hide under some bushes.  The suspect appeared to be the same individual depicted in the video and was in possession of bottles of alcohol.  The 52-year-old male was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the King County Jail for burglary.

Detectives will handle the follow up investigation.
