Detectives Searching for Suspect After Argument Leads to Stabbing

Detectives are investigating after a 33-year-old man was stabbed multiple times following a dispute in the Hillman City neighborhood.

A man and woman were walking through a park in the 6000 block of 39 Avenue South around 5:30 p.m. when the man spotted someone that he believed had damaged his vehicle.  The man approached the 45-year-old suspect, who he knew from previous encounters, and the two began to argue.  Witnesses said the argument continued for almost 20 minutes until the 45-year-old stabbed the 33-year-old man. The suspect then collected his items and fled the area.

K-9 officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.  Seattle Fire Department Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center with multiple stab wounds but the injuries are considered non-life threatening at this time.

Detectives are now searching for a black male, last seen wearing a green camouflage jacket and green pants. He reportedly fled south through Brighton Playfield.  Police have been unable to confirm whether the suspect had, in fact, done any damage to the victim’s vehicle.
