Detectives are investigating an early morning shooting in South Lake Union that sent one man to the hospital.
A gas station clerk called 911 as a fight in a parking lot in the 600 block of Denny Way escalated into a shooting between two gunmen around 1:15 AM. Officers arrived, finding numerous shell casings and one male victim shot in the abdomen. Medics transported the single victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Gang Detectives are leading the investigation and have so far recovered one gun left at the scene. Officers have also collected shell casings and are interviewing witnesses now.
