On 11/03/09, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a bicyclist was traveling N/B on Beacon Ave S. approaching  S. College St.  As the Bicyclist approached S. College St, a pedestrian going W/B across Beacon Ave S. stepped into the roadway. 
The Bicyclist was unable to avoid the pedestrian and collided with him.   
The pedestrian sustained a serious head injury [...]

There has been a fund established for the family of Officer Timothy Brenton.  Donations may be made at any Bank of America branch under the “Brenton Family Assistance Fund.”

The memorial service for Officer Timothy Brenton is scheduled for Friday, November 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Key Arena.
The Seattle Police Department is in the process of establishing a bank account for Officer Brenton’s family.  More information about that will be available soon.
