The Gang Unit responded to a shots fired call of sorts in West Seattle. Today just shortly before noon, officers responded to a call of two males shooting at one another in an alley in the 5600 block of 23rd Av SW. Officers arrived on scene and contacted a “victim” who was uncooperative. The “victim” and suspect(s) are young adults who are acquaintances.
An independent witness told officers that 4-5 people (3 males and 2 females) were in the alley arguing when shots rang out. After the shooting, all participants retreated into a nearby apartment. Officers contacted and arrested 3 of the 5 people involved (males) without incident. There were no reported injuries or property damage. Officers did not locate a gun at the scene. However, shell casings were located.
The 3 subjects were transported to the South West Precinct for further investigation. Their dispositions were unknown at the time of this posting. The Gang Unit is investigating.
