Patrol officers arrested a woman in downtown Seattle Friday afternoon after she threw a cup of coffee on a coffee shop employee and pulled a knife on officers.
Around noon, the female suspect threw a cup of coffee on an employee at a Starbucks at 5th Avenue and Pine Street and took of running. It appears the employee was not seriously injured.
A security guard chased after the suspect and called police, who found the suspect near 7th Avenue and Stewart Street.
When officers approached the woman, she pulled out a large kitchen knife.
Officers got the knife away from the woman, and then discovered she had a small, apparently self-inflicted knife wound to her abdomen.
We’ll update with more info as we get it.
