Stabbing suspect at large. This morning just shortly after 2:00 a.m., Port of Seattle PD responded to a stabbing in the parking lot of a Café in the 3500 block of Chelan Av SW . Once on scene, Port PD Officers learned that the stabbing had taken place at a transient camp across the street underneath the Deridge Wy SW off-ramp from the West Seattle freeway (in the 2200 block of SW Spokane St). SPD Officers were dispatched to investigate.
The adult male victim reported the following: He was asleep underneath the off-ramp and woke up to find that he was being stabbed by an adult male suspect whom he only knows as “Lazarus”. There was another adult male suspect with “Lazarus”.
The victim had seen both suspects before in the past. The victim had stab wounds on his torso, head and hands. At the time of this report the victim’s injuries were non-life threatening. He was transported to Harborview for treatment.
The two scenes (restaurant parking lot and transient camp) were processed, evidence gathered by patrol.
The suspect remains at large.
