Burglar Caught By Police Canine in West Seattle

Officers and canine units locate and apprehend a burglar after he fled the scene of the crime in West Seattle.

On April 12th at approximately 1:12 a.m. officers responded to 911 calls of a commercial burglary of a deli store in the 9000 block of 35th Avenue SW.  

A witness saw an adult male suspect break the glass front door of the business and rush in. Responding officers checked inside the store but didn’t locate anyone.

Officers conducted an area search with the assistance of a canine unit. The canine located the suspect in the 9200 block of 35th Avenue SW.

The 23-year-old male suspect was taken into custody and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
