Officers and the King County Medical Examiner are investigating after a woman was found off the waters of Me-Kwa-Mooks park Thursday morning.
A witness called 911 after seeing a deceased person floating face-down in the water of Puget Sound approximately twenty feet from shore. Firefighters recovered the deceased woman from the water.
The Medical Examiner, who will identify the deceased as well as determine the cause of death, has taken custody of the decedent.
Detectives have been consulted and will work with the Medical Examiner as the investigation continues.
Me-Kwa-Mooks park has since reopened.
