Detectives Investigating After Man Injured During Pioneer Square Shooting

West Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting around 10 o’clock last night in the 500 block of 3rd Avenue. When they arrived, officers found an adult male gunshot victim lying on the sidewalk. Officers noted that the victim had a loaded handgun, so they collected it as evidence. Seattle Fire Department medics treated the injured man and then rushed him to Harborview Medical Center for additional emergency care. At last check, his injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers searched the area for the male suspect, but were unable to locate him. There are no additional details regarding the suspect’s description or identity at this time.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance.
