#2022-081323/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 0040 hours, officers heard shots being fired from the area of 46th Av S and S Cloverdale St. Multiple 9-1-1 calls poured in, and officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting in the 8400 block of 46th Av S. Evidence revealed a silver newer Dodge Charger with at least four occupants turned northbound onto 46th Av S from S Cloverdale St. The charger was being followed by another vehicle, possibly a small SUV. Three of the occupants exited the charger and at least one of them began firing shots at the small SUV. The shooter ran away northbound on 46th and the Charger picked him up mid-block. The SUV backed up onto S Cloverdale St going Westbound and was not seen again. Evidence collected. No property damage located, and the victim(s) in the SUV never called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

#2022-081384/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 0208 hours, a complainant telephoned police to report an in-progress burglary to his business. Suspect was described as male in a black hoodie, blue jeans, and red shoes. Unit K97 was nearby and responded with patrol officers. Upon arrival, officers ran with K9 and located a suspect matching the description sitting at a nearby bus stop. A check of evidence further verified the suspect’s involvement. Arrested without incident.

#2022-081483/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 0536 hours, officers responded to a single vehicle, roll-over collision in the 6500 block of Aurora AV N. The vehicle was traveling NB on Aurora AV N when it veered off the road and rolled onto its hood. The passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center and was processed for impairment. TCIS responded.

#2022-081680/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 1205 hours, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a male breaking into a unit using rocks. Numerous residents in the building reported seeing a male break the window and climb into a ground floor unoccupied unit. Per witnesses, the male breaking in does not live there. When officers arrived, they observed the ground floor broken window and could hear the suspect actively breaking items inside the unit. Officers surrounded the apartment complex and used a PA to hail the suspect out. Suspect complied with officers’ commands and was taken into custody without incident. Victim of the unit was contacted and reported being harassed by the suspect (who lives in the same building). Suspect caused thousands of dollars-worth of property damage. Few weeks earlier, DCR requested officers to assist with a Mental Health Court Order at given apartment complex. Respondent was the suspect. DCR reported the suspect has in his possession an AK 47 type of rifle. Post arrest, suspect gave consent for officers to retrieve an AK style rifle out of the residence. Rifle was submitted as evidence and DCRs were notified about the incident. Suspect was booked into King County Jail.

#2022-081886/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 1700 hours, while officers were assisting a subject towards an AMR to be involuntarily committed for a mental health evaluation, the subject turned and assaulted an officer by shoving him. The subject was placed under arrest for Investigation of Assault. No officers were injured, and an on-duty Lieutenant was notified.

#2022-082104/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 2040 hours, a male was seen shoplifting an unknown item from the Safeway, located at 8340 15 AV NW. He walked out into the parking lot, directly to a car that was parked in the SE end of the lot. He entered the vehicle for several minutes then walked away from the vehicle, headed southwest across towards the gas pumps. The vehicle then became fully engulfed in flames. An area check was conducted but the suspect was not located. Arson Bomb Squad was notified.

#2022-082143/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 04-02-2022 at 2131 hours, officers were dispatched to N 137 St / Interlake Av N to investigate an armed robbery. The victim was walking on the side of the street when a newer white sedan occupied by two suspects stopped beside him. The driver pointed a pistol at the victim and demanded his belongings. The suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and headphones prior to fleeing the area. The cellphone was apparently turned off prior to tracking efforts. Robbery notified.
