#2022-261730/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 09-30-2022 at 1014 hours, a suspect used a knife to cut multiple gas pump lines at a gas station and started a fire endangering multiple customers and their vehicles along with the gas station. The suspect was apprehended by officers and taken into custody. The suspect also matched the description of a suspect armed with a knife from an earlier assault call. SPD’s ABS responded and will conduct the follow-up. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Inv of Arson.
#2022-262154/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1757 hours, a subject started a fire in her own apartment unit that spread to the unit above forcing an evacuation. The subject was located and arrested. SPD’s ABS responded and interviewed the subject at the North Precinct. The subject admitted to setting the fire. ABS will conduct the follow-up.
#2022-262213/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1907 hours, a victim driving a gray, 2016, Dodge Dart and a block SUV were travelling near MLK JR Way S/ S Henderson St. An altercation occurred over each other’s driving. The vehicles continued driving SB and a male fired approximately 20 rounds from the black SUV, striking the Dodge at least 4 times. The victim stopped and called 911. The SUV was believed to have continued on and entered SB on I-5. Officers collected evidence of a shooting from the roadway.
