Two Men Shot in South Seattle’s Stan Sayres Park

Detectives are investigating a shooting of two men in Stan Sayres Park.  

Monday at 8:30 p.m., 911 received reports of a shooting in the 3800 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South. When police reached the scene, they received a report that a 33-year-old man arrived by car to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Additionally, a second 44-year-old male arrived at Swedish Hospital also suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, the man was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.  

During the investigation, detectives determined both men were shot at Stan Sayres Park.

Police secured the area at the park and processed the scene for evidence.  Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives arrived and will be leading the investigation.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
