#2024-26667/East Precinct/First Watch:
On 1-29-2024, at 06:48hrs, East Precinct officers responded to investigate shots fired around Martin Luther King Junior Way South and East Union Street (#2024-26623). Multiple callers called 911 and provided several areas from East Union Street to East Madison Street. Officers conducted an extensive search of the area for evidence of a shooting with negative results. At approximately 06:45hrs, SPD officers responded to the 1400 block of 26th Avenue and discovered evidence of a shooting. Officers also found a parked vehicle nearby with ballistic damage.
