An unresponsive man was found on the sidewalk near the Navigation Center early Wednesday evening.
Police arrived around 8:30 p.m. in the 600 block of 12th Avenue South and located a man with gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began life saving measures. Moments later Seattle Fire arrived and took over care.
The 32-year-old male victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries while receiving care at the hospital.
A search for the suspect yielded negative results. Police are still obtaining information as to what occurred prior to the shooting.
Homicide detectives and CSI officers collected evidence at the scene to assist in the investigation.
