#2024-067815/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1627 hours, police responded to the report of a robbery. A male suspect walked into a local bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. Money was given and the suspect left the immediate area on foot. Officers checked the area with negative results.
#2024-067520/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1418 hours, officers responded to a “shots” call. Upon arrival, officers learned a shooting occurred at about 0442 hours inside an apartment. Two rounds exited from inside the apartment and impacted into an adjoining wall in the hallway. Officers conducted a welfare check of the inside of apartment and found the apartment owner and another subject inside. Both denied any knowledge of the shooting or what occurred. Officers received consent to search the apartment and located a revolver inside a backpack. Both occupants advised the backpack did not belong to them and belonged to a unknown acquaintance that left the backpack inside the apartment. There was no evidence linking the two to the backpack or gun. The gun was seized as evidence and the scene was processed by patrol.
#2024-068078/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2330 hours, a staff member for a homeless encampment in the 9700 block of Myers Wy S called 911 after witnessing a dark colored SUV fire a handgun into the air as the vehicle traveled southbound. There was no further description of the vehicle or the shooter. Jurisdictions to the south were notified. The area was checked for any victims or property damage. The scene was processed by police and GVRU was notified.
