On September 11th at 12:52 AM officers were waved down by a man in the 1100 block of S Atlantic Street.  He reported that he found his friend (the victim) lying on an access road that runs south of the N/B I-5 off ramp to E/B I-90.  Officers responded and found the victim, a man in his 50’s, down and apparently dead.  Seattle Fire Department medics were called.  They arrived and confirmed the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Homicide and CSI Detectives responded to the scene. The area was canvassed and the crime scene was processed. The victim was reportedly homeless and living in the area.  This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
