Two arrested in West Seattle for a string of thefts

On November 4th at approximately 12:30 PM, an officer from the Southwest Precinct was in the parking lot of Westwood Village when he observed a suspicious vehicle.  A short time later an employee of a business in Westwood Village recognized a suspect from an April robbery. They described the suspect as being in the vehicle that the officers had observed earlier.  They also showed the responding officer a stack of bulletins from Bellevue PD regarding a string of eyeglass thefts.

As he was talking to these complainants,  another officer received an on-view complaint of a felony theft of eyeglasses from a store in the 4500 block of California Avenue SW. The suspect description matched the occupants of the suspicious vehicle.  The license plate was broadcast and within seconds a traffic unit had located the moving car. A felony stop was conducted at 26 SW & SW Genesee, and both suspects were taken into custody without incident. A number of pairs of stolen eyeglasses were recovered.
