On February 22nd at approximately 7:11 p.m. officers on patrol heard shots fired near the light rail tracks at MLK Way South and South Winthrop Street.  Officers searched the area further and discovered a 24-year-old male victim who had sustained a “through and through” gunshot wound to the arm.  The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Officers interviewed several people who were in the area at the time of the shooting.  A suspect vehicle was seen fleeing the scene.  That vehicle is described as a green, mid-1990’s Chevy Impala with large, shiny chrome rims and tinted windows.  There is no suspect description available at this time.

The suspect(s) and the suspect vehicle remain at large.  Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect(s) or the suspect vehicle is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police immediately and refer to this incident.

Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
