Robbery Suspect captured

On May 5th at 0315 a.m., the 23-year-old victim was walking home from work. In front of an apartment building in the 4000 block of Linden Avenue N; she observed 3 males standing outside, next to a vehicle. The victim stated that she had seen the subjects there before on previous occasions. One of the subjects starting following and harassing her, asking if she was a prostitute. The victim tried to ignore him and continued walking. She placed her I-Phone in her hand to call 911. The subject approached her from behind and when she turned around, the suspect struck her in the mouth and grabbed her phone out of her hand.

He then fled westbound. Numerous units responded to the area, but the suspect could not be located.

Information developed during the on-going investigation which led to the identity of the 21-year-old suspect.  He was presented in a photomontage and positively identified by the victim. On June 23rd at approximately 9:00 a.m., the suspect was located at an apartment in the 4200 block of 34th Avenue West and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Robbery Office for processing.

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
