Burglary at Restaurant in North Seattle, Officers Arrest Both Suspects After Fleeing in a Stolen Car

Two men are in custody after they attempted to elude officers in a stolen car following a burglary at a restaurant in North Seattle this afternoon.

At approximately 4:53 p.m. officers responded to 911 reports of a robbery at a restaurant in the 2300 block of NE 65th Street.  Preliminary investigation indicates that two adult male suspects entered the back door of a restaurant and stole an employee’s backpack full of personal effects. Several employees chased the suspects, who ran to a stolen vehicle and made their escape (this event was reported to police as a robbery).

Responding officers chased the suspects into Lake City.  The suspects abandoned their stolen car in the 12700 block of 26th Avenue NE and continued to flee on foot.  Officers located and arrested the first suspect in the 13000 block of 26th Avenue NE.  Officers located and arrested the second suspect in the 12700 block of 25th Avenue NE. 

Both suspects, who appear to be in their 20’s, were transported to the Robbery Office and are currently being interviewed by detectives. 

There are no suspects outstanding.  Thankfully, nobody was injured throughout the incident.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
