A man is in custody after threatening others with a handgun at the Greenlake Community Center.
On August 11th at approximately 9:14 p.m. officers responded to 911 calls of a “man with a gun” threatening people on the basketball courts at the Greenlake Community Center located in the 7200 block of East Greenlake Drive North.
Upon arrival officers acted quickly and decisively in order to render the scene safe — the suspect was in custody and under control just 12 minutes after the officers’ initial response to the 911 call. Officers also recovered the suspect’s handgun.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
The suspect was transported to the North Precinct and will be booked into the King County Jail for felony malicious harassment.
There are no additional details at this time. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
